Ten square meters, several tree trunks holding the ceiling, walls made of plant materials, concrete seats - that's how currently looks like the building of primary school directed by the parish in Colon, in Chad where Fr. Marian Wenta SCJ is the parish priest.
How can't we ask ourselves a question: why should we help them, why is it worth? First of all, because 80% of Fr. Marian's parishioners who come from Marba tribe are illiterate. Local people haven't got the possibility to open the Bible and read there about Jesus' words or actions and His invitation for eternal life.
Children who won't be able to learn French, won't have the possibility for better life than their parents. They will become farmers cultivating grassland fields. Education will open for them many possibilities for making a living as adults. And only thanks to the missionaries children from the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Colon have the opportunity to learn reading or writing because the country won't grant them any access to education.
